I have my new head in, everything else is in correctly also. When I go to start the car, it wants to start fine, it sounds like it cranking over fine.

Is there anything else besides what a chiltons says to do when starting an engine for the first time in a while. Something out of the ordinary.

NOTE: there are new plugs, oil, and coolant. One thing I did notice was that the spark plugs dont have any oil on them at all after I tried starting it.

Perhaps you could walk us through a few background items.

Why did you change/fix the head?
Did you do the repair yourself?
What reference materials did you follow to do the repair?
Have you checked the timing of the valves and crank angle sensor?
What's the compression of the engine? Is there fuel in the rail when the engine is cranking?
What mods have been done to the car, if any?

W/o context all answers are just an uneducated guess on our part.

-My old one was warped beyond repair
-Yes
-Chiltons Manual
-The timing marks are still all lined up. How do you check the timing of the valves and cas?
-I'm not sure what kind of compression I'm getting, but I don't have spark. I've check all plugs, wires and connections. One wire I do have loose though is one coming from the alternator. There are three connections; the larger electrical plug, the washer like connection and a smaller electrical plug with a single wire going to it that currently is just dangling down. This is really all I can find that is bad. I've tried two sets of plugs and two sets of wires, so I know its not either of those. I think if I get this spark problem figured out, it'll start.
