But heres where my ? comes in

are there any new and good mods anyone has experimented with or attempted to do to their 1G t or their 2G turbos that no one knows about? I'm really focused on the 1g since i have one.....LOL

I ask this because i saw some one did this awesome washer mod to their hood to raise the hood height and vent hot air..........................a GREAT idea, so anyone else brave enough to try and share something NEW???

post em DON"T BE SHY!!!!!!!!!!! :D

"hood washer mod" then you'd know due to pressure of the air flow over the hood it only helps when you're stopped. When moving the air passing over the hood flows and no hot air escapes. The mods on vfaq are tested by pretty much all of us. You may see a guy or two do a mod or two on their own but you have the best list there if you're referring to free mods. Once those are done, spend a little money and make the car faster :thumb:

Some cheep/free mods that I found to work well:

- cold air intake
- weight reduction
- b/s removal (do during a t-belt change)
- home depot boost controller
- Tornado intake and LED winshield squirters (j/k) :p

Mine is a cheepie ($12) CAI that I made out of (2) 3" PVC elbows (90deg and 45deg) and a 4" to 3" Fernco adaptor to connect to my 2G MAS. At the end have a K&N cone filter.

As I've a FMIC, I just opened up the hole for the stock UIP and plumbed it down to the SMIC location.

May seem "ghetto" to some (f-- them :p), but painted black no one has ever noticed it on my car unless pointed it out ;)
