Hi, my car is really low!! when the tires go flat (and they do) the front bumper sits on the ground, when I hit a bump/pothole the front end JAMS into the car,and the back fishtails all over the place... I have been looking on here and it seems everyone is looking for the best lowering kits for ALL races, i dont mind it LOW but its to low what would you say for highway suspension with lots of bumps, and potholes -THANKS-

Pics? sounds like really worn springs or coilovers all the way down.

If the back is fishtailing, the suspension isn't adjusted too well either.

Have you looked to see if you can adjust it to ride higher?

Its not adjustable. when it was lowered, before i got the car. They never put in rear camber kit, so the backs are out on the bottom... its a WILD ride

OK, so its way too low for you, so this should really be a what suspension should I get type of thread, correct? There are plenty of those threads floating around, so feel free to search through them. Also, rear camber being out of whack isn't going to cause you to go all over the place, but incorrect toe can. Toe is adjustable from the factory, so you don't have to worry about buying a kit for that. Rear camber kits are cheap, so with your new suspension, make sure you pick one up. Might as well pick up one for the front too. Rockauto is a good source for some decent affordable kits.

Since it sounds like you've been bottoming out a lot, make sure you take a good look under the car making sure everything is in good shape. Make sure to go through the suspension entirely and inspect everything. These cars are getting old, and I know first hand that failing suspension bits is no fun. Last but not least, make absolute certain that you get the car aligned on all corners when you're done.

well, looking at the shocks, after Cleaning them.. They ARE Tokico shocks/struts with red springs dont know if they are the Tokico kit springs?? pics wont load.. but the rears are sagging so bad that the top 4-5 (coils) of the springs are all mashed together. so if I go with the TOKICOs again will they do the same thing. NOT sure how long this suspension was on this car

I have tein springs with tockico illuminas and its my favorite setup I have had.Btw its a scary thought that u r driving that deathtrap around, endangering lives.But whatever.

Mine is doing the same thing. When I bougth the car all 4 shocks were totally gone and running only the ebay coilovers. I replaced the shocks w/ KYBs. I raised the coilovers up all the way and it is still slammed really low. I trimmed the bump stops because they were never done when the coilovers were originally installed. It helped slightly. After some more observation I realized the coil springs were totally compressing causing the suspension to bottom out and lock up causing a temporary loss of control. I haven't had the time to fully deal with it yet. It's not my daily driver.
