Need Updated Tire Choices

Hey all,
I'm looking to get some new performance summer tires for some Evo 8 wheels I just purchased (17"x8"). I like to drive spiritually , so I want grip but I'd like to have good treadwear life as well... I want to get at least a few years out of them (about 25,000 miles or so seems fair). I'd be driving on these from May to October here in NH, so I'd be driving in dry and rainy weather.

I'd like to hear from people that actually have had experience with their said tires.

And if you have any advice on if I should go with a 245 or 235 size tire for a 8" wide rim for the best handling and grip, please feel free to speak your minds.

We'll start with that for now .

And don't flame me for not searching and blah blah blah, I've looked and only found irrelevant, out of date information, etc.

I'd just go with a 235. 245 is overkill for a 420A car. Go on tire rack. They usually have tire comparison videos.

245/40/17 StarSpecs or R-S3s.

Thank you, I do love turning and twisty roads! and I'd love to get some StarSpecs, but I don't think I can get myself to spend $180 a tire. Maybe up to $150 if they're definitely worth it. Next best thing?

Anyone know if 235/45-17's will fit on the car? The diameter is around 25.4" and I know stock is around 24.6", so there's about an inch difference between the two. I don't want to order these tires and then end up seeing that they won't fit under the car.

Just to give an update, I went with the BFGoodrich g-force comp-2 tires. will give an update once I get them on and driven on next week.
