This isnt for my eclipse but my civic, anyways, I was replacing the axles on the civic, and as I was popping the tie end rod loose, I ripped the small rubber boot and all the grease came out. I also ripped the small rubber boot on the lower ball joint and all the grease came out as well. My question is, is there a special tool to put those boots back on tightly, because those boots were held in place by a metal wire looping around the top of the boot. Also, what kind of grease should I use when puting the new ones back on? I notice that the color of the grease was different between the tie rod and the lower ball joint. Does it matter??? Help!! Thanks!!

Axel grease.. and you can buy the clamps, as well as the special "clamping tool" at the local autoparts store.

the metal wire didnt look like it has anything for a tool to hold onto. I will have to check up on that or ask one of the reps at the autostore.
