I just bought my 97 GSX and this is the first time i ever changed the oil. i started out by putting in a flush then i lifted the car and took the bolt off that said OIL on it but no oil came out!! when i check the dip stick it still shows oil on it. did i do the wrong bolt? is there 2 bolts? this bolt was on the front of the pan right by the turbo and the bolt said OIL on it. I need help asap. Thanks

the bolt is farther away from the turbo on the oil pan, its a bigger bolt i think like a 14mm, its the only one. You will see oil flow out, make sure you have a can to catch it in, let it drain for about 15-20 mintues, change oil filters, screw the bolt back in and tighten. then add 3.5-4 quarts of oil to car, let it sit for about 10 minutes to let it get in the oil pan and then check dipstick.

The only bolt I know of that has oil on it is for the transmission! The oil drain plug is by the the driver side wheel and is 17 mm.

Thanks for all the infor i found the bolt and drained it. The one that says oil on it is the transmission? That Bolt that says oil on it is right next to the tap that the turbo is taped into.
