Narrowing down oil leak.

Engine in question is a rebuilt 6 bolt with literally no more than a minute on it but has been sitting for about a year due to some medical issues. It leaks oil fairly bad and I am trying to narrow down the culprit. I re-used the oil pan/drain plug and turbo oil return line and since it does it whiule the engine isn't running I am going out on a limb and saying its either one or all of them. I am just now able to get out there and really get into it, like I said in the year it has sat it has leaked 3 quarts. I am going to refill it and watch where it starts dripping from but my question is is there any other places to watch for a leak that occurs while the car is shut down? I read a thread where Defiant talked about oil actually seeping out the bolt threads for the return line, any one ever had that happen to them?

If you didn't tighten down your automatic tensioner enough for the timing belt it will spew oil out pretty constantly. Where is the oil leak coming from as far as the general area is concerned? More input would be pretty useful.

had a similar problem turned out to be the bolts on the oil pan were'nt threading right. Just clean the area with some brake cleaner and look for the leak... It worked for me. just give it a try.
