So my car was making a rattling noise only when driving under acceleration and deceleration at about 3500 rpm. Something gave out and I couldnt get my car to switch gears so im guessing it was the slave cylinder because when I pushed the nipple on the slave in it wouldnt return back to the release fork. when I went into the car and pushed the pedal to the floor i heard something pop. So i took the boot off the fork and there were metal shavings tcoming out. I took the tranny off but no obvious signs of damage... I also checked the clutch for what i could see its fine. The forks are all there..... what could those shavings be???? dont wanna put the tranny back on and have another nightmare.

Thanks guys.... I replaced the throwout bearing and the fork.. lets see what happens.. P.S I saw metal shavings on the inside of the old release fork where the ball sits which leads me to believe the bearing took a dive.
