My turbo timer is possessed

So I had my greddy turbo timer installed at a shop and it was working fine for about a year and now...here is the crazy part...when the timer timesout and shuts itself off, my engine keeps running (you know without the key in it...what the crap!) Yesterday I was at a girls house and it kept running for like 15min and when I ran out to it my car was over heating and spraying coolant all over her driveway ...So if this has happened to any else I would sure like to know how you fixed it. Could be warranty time

Check that all the connections are not loose. Mine would not work correctly and it was just a bad ground. After that it worked great.
