my rpms wont drop!!!!

ok so ive only had my dsm like 2 months and havent figured out all of its problems but one of them that is really annoying to me is this. When im driving and i throw it into neutral to coast down a hill or whatever my rpms wont drop to idle they sit between 1500 and 2000 until i come to a complete stop....what could be causing this? and also my rpms will bounce between idle and about 2000 until the motor is warm...what can i do?

your throttle cable might be getting caught towards the end, do you have a datalogger? if so check the tps when its at idle and when your coasting and its stuck at 1500

I say that you cable is getting caught, also, if you've upgraded your fuel system, then it may need more tunign at the idle and early RPM's, also, im not sure but if your accelerater is stickey, or the plate in side the trottle body wont shut all the way then may cause the issue, other than that, i dont know much more about that
