Got it today. Only paid $95 for it, plus shipping ($35 insured.)

3", stainless-steel. Mandrel bends, all that good stuff. Only thing I'm not happy with, is that for some reason it tapers back down to 2.5" at the end (not the O2 housing end. Look at the pics.) I can cut that off though.

Anyways, here's some pics. I'm happy with the quality of it.

2.5" at the inlet, then maybe 2 inches down the pipe, is an expander piece that goes to 3".

Like saying the store is a mile down the road. Get it? The pipe is only 2.5 at the ends, its 3 inches everywhere else. I plan on cutting the catback end off anyways.
 
Hey there is no need to be an ass. got_no_sol only has expereince by word of mouth. Coup D E'Tat says it tapers down to like 2inches and he has the downpipe. So its like, READ THE POST. Get it?

actually buddy if you read the post, Coup D E'tat says that it starts out about 2.5 inches and AFTER 2 Inches it taper up to 3 inches..... :p
 
My megan racing downpipe is just over 2.5in inlet(like 2.55in :rolleyes: ) 2.5 to right after flex section, then goes to a little over 3in, then it does reduce...but not to 2.5 mine reduces to like 2.75 or more. over all a great piece and great power from it alone. Oh and for 122 shipped to my door, and 20 mins to install cant beat that.

I bought the same exact one (megan racing) from ebay. It fits the 2g AWD nicely but the hole right at the o2 housing is a little big and it is pain to tighten the bolts at the dp O2 housing intersection. I went and bought a 19mm crows foot. I had to go down to the auto store and get a smaller gasket than the one they gave me so that I wouldn't blow out the little that was there. I cut the last 16 inches plus the tapered part off and made a test pipe out of it. I bought three inch cat since it is kind of illegal to not have one where I live and I have not really noticed any performance between the two. The test pipe though is really loud. I built my own exhaust and used the apexi knock off mufler from ebay. I paid like 320 for everthing, turbo back. I bought 3 inch flanges from JC Whitney and 3 inch tubing and 1 180 degree mandrel bend. Came out great. I would recommend this downpipe from megan to just about any one. It took like 7 weeks to get because the person I bought it from was selling backordered items on ebay. Any of you that are curious about buying it, just PM me. I am putting the car on racks to put the FMIC on and Port the turbo this weekend so I will try to take some pics of the exhaust if anyone needs them
