Ok so Im fairly new to the DSM's but not too new to the tuning. I just got my first DSM :thumb: I traded an 89 crx straight across for it so I dont think I got too bad of a deal. Its a 91 GSX. These first pics are when I first brought it home.

well as was looking good as I got the new transmission in from ASAP motors until I started looking at the mounts...the new transmission had three mounts as my old one had only 1 well some good research and help from people on here and i found that this was a 1g 7 bolt transmission...... still have it sitting by cause Im not too sure if I can use it......... then as I was removing the broken bolts from the block left from when whoever broke the bellhousing off I noticed that the front hole for the transmission bolt on the front of the block was no longer attached to the block...AAAAHHHHHHHHHH........ so the block is pretty much trashed as I cant even bolt the transmission up to it now....luckily my friend had a spare 6 bolt block at his house...... so again back to the machine shop..... new .020 over pistons new rings new bearings balance shaft elimination and full balance on the bottom end........... still waiting for him to finish...i'll post up pics when its done....... other parts just collecting dust in my room till the block gets back are a MBC, Greddy turbo timer, RS BOV with 3" adapter pipe big 16g turbo and pocket logger well what do you guys think so far??? Any advice???? :D
:dsm:

its got about 145k and I called them and was trying to explain the differences in the tranny and the guy told me to send pictures to his email so i did then called him back and he said he would email me then got an email back saying they would get back to me in the am that was two weeks ago :notgood:

get what you have working first and the car running. I suggest you look at the upgrade paths under the the "tech" tab above to the left. And as always, searching and researching through the search feature is key. Good luck with your build and this car has way more potential than your 1.6 liter CRX haha.:dsm::talon::laser:

I honestly dont believe you received a 1g 7 bolt transmission. The trannsmissions that have three mounting points on them are out of 2gs. 1gs have three mounting points on the engine and one on the transmission.

LOL nah i posted the crx on craigslist for sale or trade and this guy called me and offered me this thing LOL but im happy i got a dsm its what i was gonna buy if it sold

I've had friends that have picked up worse than that and got them running great. Just takes time. I'd make sure to check EVERYTHING: Wheel hubs, cv axles, brakes, cooling system, electrical wiring, alternator, starter... all of the maintenance stuff BEFORE doing any mods. You'll be thankful in the long run when the little stuff is breaking after putting on go-fast parts. But over all, its got potential. My good buddy on here, redline2k6, has a 93 auto with a restalled torque converter and can boost to over 10 PSI off the line with an EVO III. The car is fun to drive. But good luck man!

well might sound kinda stupid but im doin a little performance stuff now while rebuilding it casue I need it running cause I'm most likely gonna be moving to Tucson in like 2months but I wanna build a stroker motor for it later but for now just a fmic, exhaust (complete....o2 housing, downipipe, cat and the rest of piping.) boost controller, big 16g, bov, and then just the machine work........ and im checking everything as I go like the head bein rebuilt LOL i gotta order a starter, new front axles and the stupid fuel piece that bolts to the tank cause I broke the line trying to get it off.... everything else SEEMS to be fine....... cant wait to get it on the road though another month or so she will be back together :dsm:
