:( my engine is gone

Well last night i was driving myself back home (was raining) then i had to stop at a red light and when it turn green i step on the gas and then in less than 5 secs my car die i cought a puddles of water and the car got hydro lock, this morning i removed the sparkplugs and they had alot of water on them , hopelly my insurance will pay for it, if they do, where is a good place to buy a good engine? or is it possible to put a jdm engine on my car?
If so where can i get it?
My cars is 1997 eclipse a/t with a 420a on it.

i kinda doubt the insurance will cover it ......but they might depending the coverage and the fine print....


Let me guess you had an "cold air intake" on ur n/t with the filter all the way on the bottom of ur chasis ....didn't ya.....

Yes , and i never bother to buy the bypass valve, well the good thing is that the insurance company will let my use my mechanic and i have the chance to change the cai to the stock air filter. Before they find out.

Man, I've never had that problem. I have a cold air intake on my avenger, which has a 420A, and I've never had that. I've even gone through pretty much hurricanes without problems.

How big were the puddles you were driving through?

Bah you guys i meant to say that in a good way not trying to be a dick with anyone , sorry if it came out wrong, but my insurance name is deerbrook which is part of all states and i didnt scam my insurance i toll them what really happend.
