Yea man I read your profile and it said your 16.. I just turned 18 and its nice to see youngsters around LOL but yea man you should come.. :dsm::dsm:

My prom was back in 05, I didnt know the first thing about turbo at the time, and I didnt own a DSM until that summer after i graduated.

I had a horribly slow 94 Saturn Sl w/ 5speed at the time with rims and a system, but I chose to beg my mom to let me take her 01 mazda 626 to prom instead. I have some pretty good memories from highschool.
Sometimes wish I was back in highschool, those were the easy days...

easy day???? try building a race car in highschool man it blows all im waitin for is to get out so i can start makin some real cash and not have to listen to my mom bi*** about why the fuel pump i have isnt good enough......aaah old people and their ignorance. i could try to explain it but if the words "i want to beat corvettes" came out of my mouth my car would be on the corner tomorrow morning with a for sale sign haha

Lol my senior prom was in 03 too. Alot of people in that 23-24 age range around here. I feel old on a daily basis LOL. Took my first 2g NT to it. Spent the whole day waxing and trying to make it look good. I went to prom as a sophmore junior and senior. But senior prom lasted about 15 mins. Showed up drunk and smoking cigars. The cops didnt like that much to begin with. Then got in a fight a few mins in and left. It was cool though, didnt really wanna go to the dance. Went out ate a HUGE steak, got drunk, and took my hot freaky ass ex to a jacuzzi suite LOL.I was 18 she was 21 :sneaky: man good times good times LOL

Yea, I'm in the 24 age group too...my senior prom was '02. I ended up taking my E39 since I didn't have the DSM until the summer. It's probably good I didn't have a turbo DSM in high school though.

I drove a 1948 Plymouth coupe powered by a 331 Cid hemi to my senior prom. My 1998 Talon is older now than the Plymouth was then.

But back to the prom dress:

Back in the early eighties a bunch of Mitsubishi engineers were sitting around discussing the design goals of the upcoming Eclipse.

One of the engineers said that to fit a poofy dress in the car it would need to be higher, wider, and more efficiently packaged car.

Another engineer said what if TunaTalon was 25 crooked dirt road miles from the nearest toilet and his wife announced that she had to go, and she had to go now.

Every engineer at the table forgot about the poofy dress and the AWD turbo eclipse was born.
