As of right now, my 99 GSX has:
-A big 16g
-Stock downpipe with test pipe to a Thermal 3" exhaust
-Greddy upper ic piping with Type S bov
-Greddy big front mount
-Injen Intake with K&N filter

When I bought the car, I was told the MAF was messed with(honey combs removed), and it had a bad o2 sensor. 1st and 2nd gear are fine, but when I go into 3rd the car stops and feels like it hits a wall. It also dumps alot of fuel out of the exhaust. What would cause this? The modded MAF, the bad o2, or the lack of a cat? These parts are getting installed this week.
-Walboro 255 hp fuel pump
-Apex SAFC 2
-Greddy Profec b
-RC 550cc injectors
-2.5" o2 housing with a 3" down pipe and 3" Carsound cat.

Should I buy a new MAF, or will the SAFC take care of the fact that it was messed with? And do I need anything else to run the 550's and the fuel pump, like and adjustable regulator? Thanks for any help gentlemen. :)

The AFC and a new O2 sensor will help. These settings might get you running better too. Ideally get the car running right with an unhacked MAS, then start playing with the honeycolms if you want. I'd get an AFPR and gauge for that 255 pump. Do you have a logger or a way to monitor your O2's?

Does anyone know if those settings on RoadRaceeng. will work with the SAFC 2?

You need to address the poor running withot adding performance mods. If it's pouring fuel out the exhaust now what will bigger inj's and a 255lph pump do? I have the GM MAF and love for it's simple tunin and removes an intake obstruction(the mas) www.fullthrottlespeed.com
Check your fuel pressure at idle and at 3000 rm. get some basic diagnostic tols and go from there. Borrow a good mas if you need to and if you were told the 02 was bad that's a no brainer unless that was said to cover a bigger problem. Mark

Not neccessarily, it varies from car to car. You can't really utalize the safc without getting some type of logger to see where your rich/lean so you can tune it where your specific car likes it's settings. So if your gettng a safc you should plan on getting some type of logger to tune properly. By tuning properly you can usually fix or narrow down problems like the one you have. Like everyone else said your going to want to get a fpr as well and if I was you I would get a unhacked maf and start tuning from there.
