Well i finally got almost everything i need to make my build ready to start.
parts list are as follows
RC-550's (just bought today!!! :) )
Walbro 190 fuel pump
new fuel filter
full 3" exhaust
2g mas w/ intake pipe and recirculation
blown MHI 16g (trying to sell)
2g o2 housing ported to hell
kyb struts
Evo 8 fmic
2g tb elbow
1g NA fpr

So far I only have installed
2.5" DP
K&N air filter
electronic 30/30 boost gauge
knock off greddy bov (purple one)
2g shift knob

and thats about it! Iam in doin my fuel system tomarrow well atleast starting tomarrow LOL I need to find new O rings for the injectors and i wanna clean them up. Iam also about to replace a few rubber hoses that are bad.

Sound slike a good start, though if i were you i'd not open them 550's, send them back and say it was your mistake you need 720's (because everyone who gets 550's upgrades at least once) same with the 190, just go 255 ( i ran them on stock FPR's for years with no issues, just don't rewire it)

As far as the turbo if you're selling the 16g what will you be running afterwards?

And the only other thing i can think to say is POST PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
well the 550's i bought used and as of right now iam having problems with the car holding boost so its either my mbc or old ic piping or iam gonna check the turbo for shaft play tomarrow... but right now iam just gonna try to max out my 14b an the goal for the end of the summer is a low 13 second pass and the next one is high 12's but I am gonna save up for a Safc 2 and just have it tuned and try to make 300whp which is pretty much where the limit is on most of my parts. the fuel pump i got from dsmgraveyard for a great price as with the 550's(i paid $50 for them!) so I have read that the 2g mas comps for the 550s without any tuning but i still really wanna get a AEM Uego cause the only thing iam able to go off is my plugs which are out of an evo 8 or 9 only had 15-20k miles on them an they work great so its been a slow gathering of parts LOL
 
i can see if i can take a few pics in the morning but i gotta wash the car LOL (i live off a lime rock road :( )

No idea where you read that, but no. Think of the ecu...it's world is a very very small one and simple one. All it knows of is a set of 450cc, if you throw in 550cc injectors, it will just think of them as 450cc, giving you a bunch more fuel, making you constantly run rich. Do no put those 550s in there without some kind of tuning device. You said yesturday that you were going to start doing the fuel today...I hope you havn't yet. Even us 2G guys have to get something to tune with when we put in larger injectors.

I agree with above, just go ahead and return the 190 pump for a 255...I would suggest getting an AFPR, but hey, Glenn knows his fuel, if he says it can be done it's because he's done it himself. As for the injectors, also trade them out for something larger. You're thinking that you're upgrading now and that you'll be happy, but for knowing that you could have bought something larger and more efficient for the same amount (although you said you bought them for $50), it won't be long before you wish you would have gone another route.
Also another thing I can mention, SWITCH OUT YOUR KNOCK OFF BLOW OFF VALVE IMMEDIATELY. With those cheap diaphrams, that could be your leaking problem. Also, with your turbo's life depending on a cheap knock off piece, it is not worth it.
What exhaust manifold are you using? To make it simple, you can buy a 2g mani and port it, otherwise we are just assuming you are using the stock 1g unit.

Its not like I can go to the store and return my stuff guys LOL. Now for right now my fuel systm and everything points me to about 300-350 max right now and thats fine. I want a fun street/track car so this is the best I can come up with. Now a 2g MAS on a stock 1g computer I have read many a time on this website saying that it'll compesate well. Now I might be trying that today I have the 550's in because a freind needed my 450's an I also got a dejon tool IC kit with a Supra side mount heheh
 
Hey man good stuff so far...look for a safc! They run used for around 100-150. That will help you. Im kinda doing the same thing you are as far and MAXing out my 14b...good turbo but you will want more power! Trash your knock off bov like he said! Go out and get you a stock one or watch ebay for a good used one. If you need any parts let me know I am on 3 different forums and I look for parts for 1g parts all the time!
 
man I am having problems trying to get a filter on to my 2g maf an intake..it puts the filter right into my upper ic pipe....
