My A/T to Manual Swap

Ok, I'm now officially committed to swapping out my (busted) A/T for a manual. The car receiving the upgrade is a 1997 Eclipse GS-T. I've gotten ahold of a donor 1995 GS-T for parts. (Hope I don't run into any nasty incompatibility surprises.) I thought it'd be a good idea to document my progress, hence this thread! More to come...

I also have a 97gst auto, i wanna do a conversion eventually to a manual let me no how things go and include some pics, also do u no what our cars run stock at the track wit the auto tranny?

I'm in the middle of doing that to my 1g. I have to change my rear diff because the ratios are different but no better time then now to upgrade to the 4 bolt . Its not to bad for me right now to swap because i am doing a TOTAL overhall on my car. I am also changing the wireing harness over as well, my interior is TOTALY gutted, and everything is out so its not going to be a big deal for me to swap. I know you will need to swap to a 5sp ecu and you are going to have alot of auto wiring hanging around unless you swap harnesses as well. Good luck on your swap and I will be posting pictures of my car when i am finished... It will be like nothing no one has ever seen before

Just an update that I am slowly but surely getting to work on this...I had my first day with some free time since my original post yesterday. I didn't get too much work done though, basically just took apart the interior so I can get to the pedals and the shifter on the donor car. If I have the time today I'm going to try to get the pedals and shifter out.

I kept the same wiring harness and i'd highly recomend getting a new wiring harness. If you ever have electrical problems you ahve all those extra wires just hanging there and they look like ass too. Not a reall hard swap to tell you the truth.
