Well the engine and TRE stage 2.5 now reside in their home, a new all time record of about 15 minutes to have both bolted up the bay (been there a few times) I had the turbo mocked up on the block to check clearances, everything looks perfect! I also polished my intake manifold, nothing special. Also began my wire tuck. Things are coming along very smoothly! Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think! :thumb:View attachment 2270

Looks good, but for future refrence... Its alot easier to just disconnect the engine wire harness (connector on the back of ECU and #32) and wire tuck... cause you have to take out the wires from the connectors... but other than that looks good... Engine and Tans, just painted or glass beaded??? O'yea It looks like you still have the HVAC/AC, get rid of it since your doing the wire tuck, get a lil weight reduction done at the same time!!!

yeah, the wire tuck is sort of a pain the way im doing it, i do have all of the wires ran up on the manifold tho so ive got a good start. and i do not have AC, just my HVAC controls (just in case the windows fog up for some unknown reason :sneaky:) And transmission was bead blasted, its the 2.5 from TRE. and the engine was painted while it was a bare block, (full manley build)

i think a SMIM ,or evo 3 intake manifold would have made a nice addition to this build.

keep up the good work

A SMIM is coming this winter, just dont know what one i want yet, its between the AMS, JMF and Magnus. And i will make sure to keep up the good work, thank you!

I second that previous statement. An Evo 3 would be a great selection. I know I have been against it in the past, but if you have the funds, I may also recommend honing it. IDK if Wilson Manifolds is still offering extrude honing (I briefly checked their website), but if anything, send it over to Darren at FFWD Connection.

I gotta ask, what is your method for dropping the engine in? Do you angle it down in, bolt up the passenger/driver side then the front and rear roll mounts? If you could detail it I'd greatly appreciate it...I had no problem doing it before solid mounts, now it's a PITA!

With my solid mounts I took them completely off and laid the motor in and then put the solids in
And used a hammer to get them down and in the right spot.
Thats how I do it though, everyone else might have less trouble than me LOL

Ok well what i do is leave out the front trans and rear trans mounts and only do the sides. I use a load leveling bar to drop the trans way down, you need another person guiding it into the slots for the mounts get that bolt in first, then the rest of your engine (with no pulleys on it) will swing down into the other mount. Use some car soap for lube or just wiggle it.
