for the simple fact that i want to know if it is any lighter why whats the problem with that ???? come on now. i dont know how heavy a stock wheel is it could weigh 20 pounds for all i know and this one could weigh 7 pounds that wjhy i wanted to know

oh i know, but on the other car there wan't enough room to mount the cruise module inside the column cover so i did it that way instead. believe me, i'd thought of trying that, but it was WAY too tight a fit. good to know the dsm cover is that spacious though. that's the way i'll do it when i finally get rid of the bus.. i mean stock wheel (which is almost a necessity on these cars since the steering column doesn't tilt very high. i teach driving to teenagers using a 99 eclipse and the look on their faces when i tell them that the wheel doesn't go any higher is just priceless).
