Upon researching this topic, I only came up with a few hits none of which address this. I understand MMCd completely, well almost I can't figure out why, or what debug is used for? Is it only for making sure the ecu is communicating? Or can it be used to fix problems?

In my debug I see about 12 or so boxes that are bold in text. When I tap them it comes back with different letters in the notes section. Whats this for, or is it only showing the link,a nd communication is there?

Thanks.

MMCd is very informative, and easy to use. Only this debug portion of the program has me scratching my head.

I'm also trying to figure out why my intake air temp is up to like 125-130*? the exhaust manifold seems way too hot also. I replaced the stock(stant 192) thermostat with a 180. That helped alot, it stays at around 192* for coolant temp. But the intake air temp is still at 90-95or so. it didn't get over 75 today here.

A couple days ago the intake temp was more like 78. I mean it was 90 at most.
I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump is going bad...Has anybody experienced this problem? I researched high intake air temp, and didn't come up with anything similar.

The car doesn't overheat but the intake air temp is through the roof, and the man is so hot it almost burned me checking the oil stick, and I've been around some hot metals in my ten years of welding.

I'm going to replace the fuel filter first.

Well if it's not all in your head, very hot exhaust temps would be caused from a lean situation. Hot exhaust temps could also lead to hot intake air temp for raised under hood temps. Can you view your knock, inj. duty cycle, short and long fuel trims and or EGTs? Post these #'s and that might helps someone to chime in.

Debug, i believe is the hex code that is mmcd. The highlighted hex letters are the addresses in the ecu for sensors being logged- For example 14 is tps address for ecu, hence it logs its value on mmcd. 21 is coolant temp and so forth. Hope this makes sense. This is edited a lot for people installing wideband, that want to use egrt input if its not already highlighted

Thanks tofast That explanation is clear as day. I'm going to post a log in a few.

Well, scratch that my logs are screwed up somehow. It logged some strange numbers looking at the data on the pc.v all the params, were all on column A for one the other is coolant, read like nine thousand something??...

Is ti possible to have a screwed up ECU if you plug a log cable in incorrectly?
