Mirrors fold down after hard launch

Ok guys i got one for you... Any time i launch my car really hard or drop it in two a lower gear and really dump on it i have to readjust my mirrors. Has anyone else had this problem??? I do have manual mirrors. So would swapping to power mirrors maybe solve this problem????wtf

I have manual mirrors and mine don't do that.

I'd be willing to bet that if you got or replaced the plastic piece that covers and allows you to adjust them they wouldn't move as much. Their like 11 dollars from the mitsu dealer

well thats the thing the little ball you move to adjust them on the inside is still nice and firm no slack in it at all. and if you push the mirror part in on the out side it still fills nice and firm.

hmm, so the ball thing to adjust the mirror holds firm but the mirror itself still moves?

right!!! the hole mirror is firm in side and out.. no give when you push on the mirror itself. its not a real big deal i guess. more of a pain than anything

the only thing i can think of is to pop the mirror out of the plastic and see if there is something loose that you could maybe tighten

between my wifes trans am, or my talon. while launching hard, the windshield wipers usually go up. never had the mirror problem.

i just always think its funny when the wiper is obstructing the view so i can't see the end of the track.

The obvious explanation is that you car can't handle itself so the mirrors try to look away

well i took them apart last night and was UNABLE to find anything broke and everything is really firm. but i also found out that they are not oem someone has replaced them before they have jdm stamped on them. so i thank it is safe to say that is where my problem is. i have a parts car i am going to take the mirrors off of this weekend only bad thing is that they are the stock black ones and mine have been painted to match. but at lest it will fix the prob. thanks for all the guys
