cool but if i remember at the sacramento meet you said it was $20 for the pillar pod and 2 gauges and an extra $50 for the new boost gauge LOL, well ill let you know, im saving up right now cus these gas prices are killing me.

woah woah...woah! LOL i said i'll let you know when i get the $80 and i said Fremont would be best for me on a tuesday night because thats when i'll be in fremont LOL, i dont think ill have the money by next tuesday. Do the gauges glow?

:banghead: my bad i read that to fast.. umm, alright.. well let me know.. neways, the guages light up but dont glow.. they just have a regular white light.. they use to light up when i had them
 
Well unless you can make the trip to Gilroy and help out...maybe lend me some parts to get this ticket off my a** and the cops and the judge. but you will get them back just need to get through this bullsh**.

Just emission wires to get the court off my back. Atleast thats all the ticket says "modified emissions"
if you have a fix ticket regarding emission, as far as i know, gotta get signed by a cop and they may or may not required you to go to state inspection or smog . which i hate to say....... go back to stock...... unless you know someone can hook you up.......

"Modified Emissions" is usually a state ref... Either get the parts to turn it back to stock or you will have to pay the bail amount.

Well im gonna pay this guy to rewire evrything and put my emissions the way its supposed to be. and i can't get the ticket signed off by a cop. it has to be by a state ref. So i think i can do it. I don't plan on doing that bail stuff.

If you have that little white sticker on the back of your ticket that says it must be taken to a ref, and not operated on public roads until done so; then ya its not gonna be easy.

First off, dont you have a 6 bolt in there? Secondly, those state ref folks will fail you if your car is low on oil. Thats right, they look at everything that "may" effect emissions even though it will PASS the tail pipe emissions test! Freakin absurd!

You got a long uphill battle buddy.

you should be getting that courtesy notice in the mail telling you how much it will cost if you down get it signed off by the state ref. and yes it is $400-800.

Also when you go in there, they are no JOKE. even if you have GAUGES and/or a TURBO TIMER they will fail you. I've seen it happen.. to who you ask.. ME. They didn't fail me because they couldn't find it my turbo timer, but one of the refs was inspecting the interior with a trainee, and then he tells him, "look for any gauges, turbo timers, etc, if you see any its a fail". yea I know it doesn't really have to do with emissions, but hey just saying what I've witnessed.

And man EVERYTHING has to be pretty much stock. They are strict, say you passed the emissions test.. but they see the cat you have on there doesn't have an EO/carb # that says its suppose to be for your car.. guess what FAIL. They will go through all the hoses and emissions equipment. Just cause some of the 2g turbo's charcoal canister is under battery tray, they will use every tool necessary to make sure its there and plugged in.

I had a stock turbo on there, but with an SS line, and they even asked me why I had changed it!

If you are capable of doing the work yourself to putting it back to pretty much stock and dont mind the time, and perhaps money (depending ons tock parts you need) and the money you waste cause you have to take off work to see the ref. and you feel it is not greater than the $400-800, then yea do it..

but it is VERY discouraging after, to want to put your parts back. and hell imagine those people who get rid of emissions equipment or modify it, cams, FPRs, etc. sometimes just paying the fine is more cost effective. but of course i dont know what happens if you get pulled over again..

Noe bailing out sounds pretty nice. i'm getting $3800 but i don't want to blow it on stock parts. I don't even know what stock parts i am missing for christs sake.:banghead: Now i have to rip out my turbo timer and boost gauge. Weak! Do i have a chance in fighting the ticket?

Bro hit me up....What happened saturday :confused: dang reading all this jz hurts....you might even have to take out the turbo too???....I'd prob look into doing a motor swap, to much of a hassle for the emissions stuff to be put back and you might not pass then. This is a total bummer :(
