Hi,
I was told i need to set up a pressure sensor to measure the backpressure on my setup while i am tuning my car on a dyno. How i understood it is that i need to measure the pressure right infront of the turbo, between the exhaust manifold and the turbo.

What would be the easiest way to tap into that pressure?
The guy that told me this said something about a copper tube, and that i could tap into the exhaust housing of the turbo itself, i`ve never heard of this so i`m kinda confused, any help is appreciated.

Thank you

To measure backpressure (aks Drive Pressure) you need a to plumb a pressure sensor into your exhaust manifold. There are MANY threads covering this on this forum as well as the rest of the internet.

However, logging drive pressure shouldn't be a requirement for tuning. It's definitely good information, but isn't critical to a proper tune whatsoever...

Ok, thanks.
Yea, he said it`s mainly to check the turbo efficiency, and to check the cams adjustment.

So i should tap into the collector on the manifold? I can also tap into the turbo right after the flange but i`m not really happy about drilling into my turbo.

Edit: i searched for drive pressure and backpressure but i could`nt find any information on the installation of a sensor itself.
