Anyone have any experience with this? Im tired of the one wheel wonder, and I was wondering will a later model transmission fit on my 95' such as a 96 or 97' or should I just rebuild the one I have and put the LSD parts in it?

Thanks

All 2g fwd trannys are the same. You can built your tranny put a lsd in it but I wouldn't waste the money on lsd's not worth it there not that great. I am fwd too I just buy nice stickey tires they cost a little more but they do good work. I also drive will lower tire pressure to help grip. If want legit traction you need awd otherwise welcome to the fwd fun club.:p I see your only on a 16g I knew it spools up fast so if your high reving and peeling off around the corner ya you will get loose, but I never really had a traction issue when I was running a 16g. So I would do some tire research for traction.

I have brand new tires on my 17's there not drag tires by any means but they have great ratings for dry grip

The LSD is listed in as a mod in most upgrade paths for FWD, I hope to get mine done soon. The good ones are expensive and then you have labor to pull, install and put the tranny back in so its not cheap unless you have an in at a shop.

It all depends on why the OP wants a LSD. If it's for drag-racing, then, yeah, he might be able to get away with just stickier tires (at least until he ups his torque and then we'll be right back where we started). But if it's for getting out of corners faster, stickier tires could make it worse, since he'll be going faster, generating more lateral g, transferring more weight, and needing an LSD even more than before.

If the OP does want an LSD, he or she should definitely say what for, because that determines which kind he or she should get.

Also if he or she wants AWD or wants to stay FWD is another thing to take into consideration. If your planning on doing an AWD swap then I'd just live with it until then or wait to buy a AWD model. Another option that would be the funner then the two is make it RWD.

Im not interested in AWD I have: shop lift, tools ect. to do the labor.

I guess Yes LSD for more grip in the 1/4 strip that's what I would like it for.
My plans some day it will just be a track car (by track I mean (1/4 mile) Its not what you would call a great looking car? Its a little beat up. Im not interested in making it look real nice or anything of that sort of thing. Im only interested in performance. I personally think that LSD's are great that why i would like one in my DSM

I feel the same and it's exactly why I am looking to install one my self. LSD and some sickies and a little clutch abuse is where it's at rofl.
