I have a rs, so speed isnt a thing for me so ive decided to go low and slow.

I Put new coilovers on and slammed it( more than i wanted, i was in a rush) and while driving, My upper control arm bolt was rubbing and tearing away against my tire and took it the the bead.

Im wondering how to keep this from happening? i see people lower than me on here and im wondering how to get around the control arm bolt.

I have the 17 inch GSX wheels and i had 215-50-17 tires. I now have 215-45s.

Do i need a camber kit? spacers? stretched tires? I want to keep my fitted look also.

That shouldn't happen, even with a drop. That part should be fixed in relation to the wheel/tire. Did you forget to tighten something?

No everything was tight and ready to go. I think it was because i was running on 17s and on a high profile tire. The tire was so far in my fender, the top of the rim was flush with the fender.

Im looking to have a stance like this:

Can you shoot us a picture what was hitting? I don't follow what you're saying on what is exactly coming in contact with the wheel.

On a side note, car looks great with those wheels!

god damn thats one of the cleanest second gens I've seenWTF

Something is definitely up with your suspension. Check through all your bolts again and torque them.

Stock wheels and slammed with tallish tires? Offset/height issue.

Found the problem.

I was totally out of alignment. So i got an alignment.

Both fronts had -2.5 toe and -3.0 camber on both sides, so the problem was actually my alignment and not my control arm bolt. LOL

Silly us for assuming an alignment after slamming a car, amirite? ;)
