From DSMERS experience. What would be recommended best for appearance. I have 17" rims, eventually want 18s but i don't know how low and what brand of springs/struts to get. Ive been researching on websites and eibach springs/struts look really good for the price. Any advice on lowering would be great, thanks!

at first i had a set of eibach sportlines and tokico blues...they ran real nice, and a good price...i am currently on tein flex's and those are great but a lil expensive for a coilover

I'm going with the 1.5 inch drop.. The 1.75 is jsut a tad extreme IMO. But honestly it's all personal preference. you're going to have alignment and camber issues to correct either way so it's all about what look you want... teh 1.75 puts it "in the weeds" though..I like the 1.75 but am going with the 1.5 for that extra 1/4 inch of speed bump clearance LOL

I have a friend with 18's on his and only a 1.5 drop and i think it looks perfect.. I wish i could afford some 18's

The best thing you could do is to get coil overs and you can tailor it to the perfect ride height when it's all set up and you have the wheels on that you want.

I have the Eibach Pro Kit and my car with the stock 17's and stock size tires. And I will still scrape on everything. I don't recommend going lower than them as I can't imagine being able to drive with the car any lower. As it is now I scrape Exhaust and frame rails on particularly big speed bumps even if I am going less than 5 mph. I dread narrow alleys where I can't swerve sideways over them.

Thanks men! Since coil overs seems adjustable, would this be the best option and give me a more advantage than regular strut and springs. Is the only disadvantage to getting coil overs is the price? thanks guys

I run Eibach Pros with Tokico Illuminas (all on stiffest setting) and RRE's rear camber kit and I still scrape when I leave some parking lots. I can't imagine going to a 1.8" drop unless you live in a city where everything is flat.

Here is the pic of my car.

It is important to note that Eibach Pros is a 1.3" drop on a 2G AWD and a 1.2" drop on a 2G FWD.

FYI - Eibach don't make shocks/struts for DSMs.
