Also the DSM'ers in Louisiana should be trying to help each other and not say crazy stuff. We all know how freaking aggrivating and hard it is to have any kind of work done on our vehicles down here. Nobody wants to take a road trip up north or ship there car to have work done. I don't think anybody really likes going to the dealer either. It seems that the mass ammount of stupid in this world is beginning to affect everyone. IDK! If you must know I did find a place to bring my car and I aint to happy bout where, but in needs to be done before I'm hoofing it. THE DEALER (AH). I got all the parts already and the labor is going to be about $485+tax. The only good thing is I get it back the following of drop off.

+1 on trying to stick together and help out/
Have you found anyone to do the timing? I am a bit too far, otherwise I would offer to do it.

Trust me, I know how frustrating it is trying to find someone who will even consider it after they hear the word Eclipse. My ac belt is actually on it's last leg, and I called just to get a quick quote, just the labor was 145+tax. That's not including the 40 dollar belt. I said screw it, I'll fight with it on my own. If you can make it to LC without breaking down, you could always bring it on the 31st to the meet and we could do it then!:sneaky:

Well the car heads to the shop this thursday. Here's the little list of things that are getting changed...Timing belt, Balance shaft belt, Timing Tensioner, Water pump, Timing belt tensioner pulley, Balance shaft tensioner pulley, Idler pulley, Crank seal, Oil pump seal, Balance shaft seal, 2 Cam seals, Harmonic balancer and all other belts. I got all of the parts shipped to my crib for under $285 using partsdinosaur.com and rockauto.com. After I get it back, I'm going to start preping it for the paint shop. I just hope everything works out good with the maintenance being done.

my roomate's shop uptown can also work on it. The shop's name is Kehoe and you can reach Mark there. Let me know if you need their number.

Captainredeyes: Ha, wish I would of saw this sooner. That is the same route I went with everything you listed, from partsdinosaur, plus the A/C compressor and drier. It was $772.XX for everything at Mitsubishi. Plus it took a week but that was my fault since ANY and ALL autopart stores don't have the 98-99 compressors and ended up having to overnight it after a week of tryng.
