I was driving one day and everything seemed fine up until about 5 miles in of city driving when I pushed the clutch, threw the car in N to come to a stop and the LOUDEST squel happend when the clutch was in about 1/4 to all the way no matter what I was doing
Then after trying to get home about half way it stopped and there was no noise, then it came back again and went away...etc. its been doing this for the last couple of drives ive needed to do..
Shifting is always easy and the clutch depression feels fine all the time but it is annoyingly loud
Any ideas?

yeah found that out.. really dont want to have to do that work

I would suggest fixing it like Sebba and everyone else has told you before it leaves you stranded on the side of the road. Mine went out on my 00 eclipse and stuck me in rush hour traffic thank god there was an emergency lane.

i have most of the equipment and im going to get started on replacing it my self in a few days once i have a second car for transportation and my new clutch kit gets here moneys tight and cant afford shop work

I replaced the clutch and tob and it still squels and the mechanics in my neighbor hood came to talk to me about it and they said that the sound is slave cylinder not tob
thatt sound right to you guys?

I'm not super experienced with dsm yet but I don't see how it would be the slave cylinder making noise. Is it super loud?

One of the loudest sounds ever, imagine a power steering pump screech very similar to that but maybe louder, ever time you push the clutch
it use to do it only about 3/5 of the time clutch was pushed but then i bleed the slave cylinder and now it does it 100% of the time

Usually the symptoms of a bad slave cylinder is a soft/spongy clutch that looses pressure when pressed. You can try it but I honestly don't think it will do much good.

The thread title show "Resolved". From what I quoted above I am assuming it is not.
If the noise is still there after you changed the TOB, I would suspect that something may be stuck between the pressure plate and the disk. There have been few threads about broken disk springs and that could be what happened to you. Did you check that all the springs are in place when you changed the TOB?

I replaced the clutch pack along with the TOB, the springs and everything from the stock one and had some people look at them and they say the were was good on it
and the tread was marked solved by me at the time of hearing TOB from everyone which was before i replaced it-- as of now i would say i still need some help

Bent fork causing TOB not to seat correctly against the pressure plate?

When i had the stock clutch pack off and i showed it to a couple of diesel and manual tranny mechanics and they said that the wear is good and the pressure plate teeth has a nice even ring of were on the inner teeth

Don't 2Gs have something known as pedal pump up? I'm not sure what it is, but it sounds like hydraulic pressure doesn't release and the slave keeps pressure on the clutch fork. Just a thought...

Never heard of that. but i guess that would make sense as to slave cylinder possibaly being the culprit

here is a pic of the trans and the old tob if u can see anything about it
That TOB does not look good to me and is not the OEM one. When I bought my clutch kit, I was advised not to use the TOB that comes with it because most of the ones that comes with clutch kits are junk. I would recommend you get an OEM TOB and install it and see if that will solve your problem.

+1. Did it spin smoothly when you had it out?

Most clutch noises are caused by bearings and bushings. Release bearings make a whirring, grating, or grinding noise, which occurs when the clutch pedal is depressed and stops when the pedal is fully release. Pilot bushing noises sould like a squeal or howl and are most noticeable in cold weather. Maybe bad pilot bearing or bushing.

the one in the picture is the one that was in the tranny before i ever dropped it and is an OEM one it was beat and did not spin at all really the new one with the stg1 kit spun way better than the one pictured (one thought to be making the noise in the first place)

where is the pilot bearing?
the sound is all throughout clutch pedal depression from 1/2 to all the way down the sound is present
after putting on a new slave cylinder the sound got less loud so maybe a master cylinder will finish it off as a pressure problem
