loud buzzing sound. any ideas?

my car now has a loud buzzing sound coming from the motor. at first I thought it was bad lifter tick so I put in 3g lifters. my lifter tick is gone and the car is alot quieter but that horrible buzzing is still there. I know it could be dozens of things and im not being very specific but thats all I can decribe it as. Im going to post a vid on youtube later today of it. at this point I need any oppinions on what could cause a buzz like that. thanks fellas

A couple of things to check is the pcv valve for partial blockage, the intake manifold gasket could be torn and can make a buzz or whistle, and lastly see if the noise gets louder when you rev the engine. Let us know what you find with this, goodluck

thanks all check that out. the sound is not present at idle but as soon as you rev the sound comes out. Ive also noticed that I doesnt do it until the engine has warmed up.

Cold makes a crack contracted and Heat will expand a crack.If its doing that it may be more then a gasket.You may have a crack hiding that's expanding and giving off that noise.Get yourself a pipe and let the car warm up and stick it to your ear and go around the engine bay and see if you can find out where its coming from.Its a ghetto way to do something but its the best way to find out where its coming from.

im pretty sure its comming from my balance shafts. sounds like its a spun bs bearing. I guess im luck it didnt take out my timing belt. anyways ill be doing a bs elimination soon with the engine in the car soon. hopefully I dont get myself into something I cant handle. thanks for the suggestions though

as a follow up, when I took my oil pan off there was a balance shaft bearing in there. all crunched up. I did the balance shaft elimination and the engine should be back in the car soon.
