Lost reverse after shift kit and front clutch install

I have a 2g awd with a JDM (1g) trans, after installing the shift kit using ipts videos, maxing out the line pressures, and the kiggly front clutch I seemed to have lost reverse. Drive park and neutral work fine but reverse is intermittant, car is on jack stands and does nothing when cold, when the car warms up it starts to intermittently work, you go from park to reverse it will go in reverse for a couple revolutions and pop right back out and stop moving, reverse doesn't work at all from neutral to reverse, anyone know what this could be? There is nothing electrically connected to the trans at all I'm in the process of installing a standalone tcu. I triple checked the oil level and double checked the valve body o ring on top.
