Hey guys, Ive read all of tlhe posts about backfiring and misfiring and it doesnt seem to solve my problem. My problem is this. When my car (92 GSX) is under full boost it hesitates and sounds like it is backfiring. This usually happens over 4500 rpms. Im pretty sure its not the clutch cuz when this occurs the rpms dont move at all even though im flooring it, and the boost is constant at 10 psi. I just replaced my plugs(NGK BPR6ES) and got new wires(MSD). I also used a stethescope to check for leaks on the vaccumm lines coming from the TB, BOV, and Wastegate actuator. Any help would be great. Also, Im not sure if this would have something to do with it, but the car idles very badly. It will shake like it is going to stall, then kick back up to normal. Thanks.

I am not quite sure about your condition but i can almost 80% say its boost leak. so i guess you need to recheck... and i am almost willing to say it has something to do with your bov...

and if you take out your plugs and there is no oil... then its not your plugs.

Yeah man, there was oil on my first plug, but the rest of the plugs were fine. I have a new BOV on the way, because i thought that was it. What happens if I have oil on my plug?
