Ive replaced balljoints and outter tie rod ends, car is SCARY at highway speeds over bumps, the d/s front tire seems to loose grip and I can hear looseness in the front. Iam aware of rack bushings etc and my d/s strut IS blown but it shouldnt cause THIS. Ive been told it may be inner tierod ends. Does anyone have experience with a loose front end? Guessing is getting too expensive. Thanks

Have you checked the alignment? Toe out (front or rear) will make a car twitchy at speed.

I would check the wheel play since that reminds me of the way my car was doing with a worn hub. If you do have a wheel play, I would carefully find out where it is coming from and go from there.

If there is no play to be found, go with what JT wrote up there.

Also, have in mind that some of the symptoms are related to the side where you have a blown strut. If that wheel starts to oscillate at the higher speed it would do exactly what you are explaining as well. Basically, it will start bouncing up and down and making you to loose the contact on that corner. Since that is very obvious problem on your car before you do anything else, I would fix that first!!

Good luck!!

Have your inner tie rod ends replaced if necessary and get it aligned.
Also have them check out bushings for the rack, and the control arms.
Checking for play in the hub is simple.
Jack up the car on that side, grab the tire at 12 and 6, and try to pull it out 12 and push in at 6, and vice versa.
You shouldn't have much play at all.

Thanks guys, I checked hub play and there is none. I went around the strut because my buddy just replaced his blown ones and it wasnt anywhere near as bad as mine. Iam just sick of having stuff replaced, then I pull outta the shop and thing is still a death trap. I will do struts, inner tie ends and check control arm bushings. Thanks again.
