i was trying to think of what to have in my car but i couldnt decide what size subs will be the best without rattling my car to pieces. i was thinking of going with two tens (probably kicker or crossfire i have heard good things) i am also adding a kenwood deck some diamond door speakers and tweeters and probably two T.V.s(also would like some suggestions on which ones have highest quality picture etc...) any suggestions on what to use would help a whole lot thx. :talon:

dont know about the subs, but for tv. i have a lilliput 7" touchscreen and with windows running on it, i can read everything perfectly. look into getting a lilliput or xenarc for screens.

If your going to get a system it has been my experience that staying with one manufacuture ususally yeilds a better end result than peiceing different components together. I dont know what youre looking to do (SPL, SQ?) but if you want some great stuff you should take a look at Alpine. We all know that there are better enginneered subs and speakers out there, but for any midrange system they look and perform beautifully. Their head units are some of, if not the best in the buisness (9835 rocks all, and it matches the stock amber lighting perfectly.)

You can pick the stuff up on ebay for pretty cheap. I would reccommend if you just want a system that thumps nice and tight... to get a single 10" Type R (Alpine). I put one of these in my 1G hatch in a Q-Logic enclosure and it has more than enough power. Also, the sub only cost like 99 bucks new, and the box was 40 off of ebay. Not only that, but the stock hatch cover fits right down ontop of the box to not only keep it in place from tipping over, slidding, but to keep anyone from seeing anything in your trunk!

My Setup is as follows.
Head Unit - Alpine 9835
Front Speakers - Alpine 5 1/4" Type S
Rear Speakers - Alpine 6 1/2" Type R
Subwoofer - Alpine 10" Type R
Amplifier - Alpine MRD-M300
Sub Box - Q-Logic Type 1 Enclosure
Wiring Kit - Lighting Audio 4 Guage

IT SOUNDS AMAZING, LOOKS EVEN MORE AMAZING! I couldnt ask for anything better. Just my humble opinion, but take a look at some of their stuff. Check my cardomain site ("here" in sig) for any additional info and pics.

Depending on what your going for (spl/sq) I would recommend 12" subs. Great low bass with highs to go along. 15's are to low, 10's are to high. I have two solo-baric 15's in my car and its way to low. I built it for comps. Now I'm going to go with some 12's I would recommend both kicker and crossfire. I would drop the kenwood head unit and go with eclipse. Kicker subs, crossfire power, and an eclipse head makes a rockin' system (what I have, LOL).

Whatever you do, make sure you power it correctly. I've gone through a few pairs of speakers by underpowering them. In the past I thought that overpowerering would kill em but I learned the hard way that it was just the opposite.

Current system:

X-File Audio 4" monitor in mirror
