new to logging can anyone tell me what to look for when logging or point me in the right direction where to find the info. I have researched but havent found much.

Take a look at this:
http://www.vfaq.com/TMO/Tuning-Tips.htm

In VERY GENERAL terms things you'll want to monitor/log and analyze include:

RPM - Useful to monitor if/when you knock, pull timing, etc.
Knock - Obviously you want this as low as possible.
Timing - WOT goal should be 15* - 22*. If on the higher end of this range at WOT you can probably up the boost.
Airflow - Amount of air being metered and sent to ECU.
Air Temp - Self explanatory.
TPS - Throttle position.
Fuel trim high - % of ECU fuel compensation at WOT...sort of (closed loop)
Fuel trim mid - % of ECU fuel compensation at mid throttle (open loop)
Fuel trim low - % of ECU fuel compensation at idle/low throttle (open loop)
Inj pw - A way to determine if your injectors are being overworked.
Inject DC - A way to determine if your injectors are being overworked.

You can read other people's logs, or you can post yours and ask for input, or you can read about what each individual value means, and use applied knowledge to understand your log.
