So I recently switched to speed density (yay!) and I'll just say I'm loving it! However after the switch I've noticed a difference that I can't really pin down to any particular cause. Running my clipped MHI big 16g previously with the MAF tune power would roll on fairly smooth from ~0psi to peak boost (~16psi). Now, as soon as I switched to speed density, it seems to kind of hang until ~10psi according to the butt dyno. According to logs, watching the gauge, and listening to the turbo, it still spools just as quick; there's just a gap. Right after 10psi it starts ripping all the way up to ~20psi.
I'm running the same AFR's at idle, cruise, spool up, and full boost as before +/- .2 and even a little more timing around spool up. Mod list in profile is current and complete. Nothing else changed during the switch and no boost leaks (not that they matter now, but everyone asks
). Oh, BOV IS vented, but I've verified that it is not opening until it's supposed to.
It's not a terrible PROBLEM per say, but I'll admit I'm damn curious as to what would have made that happen.
