Okay I was arguing with my buddy today cause we were trying to figure out what is the best launch at the track for a awd. He kept saying by reving it at 4500 rpm and then let go of the clutch(dumping it), and I kept arguing the best is by slipping the clutch. I know that the awd launch at high rpm is not good for our transfer cases but what do u guys think? AWD Launch at high rpm(u know just dumping the clutch) or Slipping the clutch?
You never dump the clutch not even a FWD. I have two five gallon buckets of broken axles and tranny shrapnel. Its more of a real fast slip, not to much because you will smoke the clutch.
(there is a time posted up there somewhere
