Ok
I have a realy stupid question but I do need it answerd
At start up there is a slight knock coming from the back of the engine
When it gets half way warmed up it goes away but by then the knock sensor throws a code and retards my timing so my car runs lick crap.
I know what the problem is and I dont drive like a mad man.
The mods on my car that I did are just because it was less expensive than stock

My question is can you un hook the knock sensor or do you have to have it hooked up for the car to run good

PS I cant get rid of the knock with out taking the engine apart and it is my daily drive so I cant afford to loose days of work

Thank you

Check your knock sensor see if its loose or to tight. Also you will wanna see if the knock sensor it self is bad see if any black goo is coming out of it you can unhook it but that is a not something I would do personally but like I said check it well you will have to feel it kinda hard to see unless you have a mirror maybe.
