I would like to know how you guys remove the fuse box in the drivers kick panel. It seems like there is a loose connection somewhere around the fuse box. My AC/heater fan would come on and off while driving, now it doesn't even turn on.

I was checking the heater relay in the fuse box and the fan came on as I was trying to pull it off. So I wiggle some wires here and there and it came back on. I push against the the bundle of wires on top of the fuse box and the fan stayed on until I let go.

Could this be a loose connection or do I have a bad fuse box?

I had an issue which turned out to be my in cabin fuse box, my dash and windows would stop working and if i kicked the panel they would work again, I ended up switching the whole panel out with the one out of my 95 gsx. I never figured out what the problem was but id guess it was just loose connection inside the panel it self.

Its pretty easy to remove, 2 bolts hold it in place and then the PITA parts is unplugging those plugs that have never been touched for 15 years. Also the 95 fuse panel is different from the 96+ or at least from the 96. There's a panel on the back of the fuse box with a plug on it, those panels are interchangeable so I had to take the one off my 96 fuse box and put it on my 95 fuse box and then install the 95 fuse box into my 96.

It will make sense once you remove the panel.

That "panel" is the ETACS ECU, and the plug is different from 96 and 98 as well, I had to swap my '98 ETACS ECU into a '96 Junction Box.

Anyway, it is just two bolts and it's not bad to pull out, the plugs are the hardest part. There may be a decent amount of corrosion down there.

Nice, now what does ETACS mean??? :D

Plus and minus a bit on our cars, but yeah, that's the general idea - everything that makes the car comfortable.

I know there is the 10mm on the bottom of the the fuse box, but where is the other one? I know it's gotta be somewhere on top of the box but I tried felling/looking around for it but I just can't seem to find it. Looks like someone grab a hand full of spaghetti and just jammed it up there.

Also, after messing around with it some more the fan doesn't turn on anymore when moving the wires or the fuse box. Hopefully nothing to bad happen.

The fuse box is not the etacs ecu. The etacs is the part that separates from the back of it. It contains the door chime. And controls interior lighting, seats, windows and sunroof if you have one.

There you go bud, you didn't seem to be tracking the conversation.
