k&n FIPK

i just purchased a FIPK for my 97 talon tsi, i havent had a chance to install it yet but is there anything i should know before installing this and will i notice much of a performance difference?? this is my first mod. thanks for any help.

It's a pretty straight forward install. Nothing to worry about. Just follow the directions. Requires almost no knowledge of any sort. You'll notice a bit more strength in acceleration and a tad more pull in higher RPM's. A little more breathing noise too.

I noticed also that the BOV is alot louder ...I have a type-s and its sounding nice out the intake

Yes. The re-circ type-s won't make anything much "louder", just different. The open cone intake will make the most difference on sound even with a stock BOV, obviously because there's a lot more airflow.
