I never had lifter tick before. This sound is much louder than a typical lifter tick. I started my car up before and heard this very loud almost external sounding ticking coming from my head. The car idle'd like a$$ so i turned it off and went to the bay and I heard my turbo slowing down. It sounded like the hotside had a bent fin and was scraping against metal as it slowed down. I just took my VC off and didnt notice any loose rockers or lifters. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. Im stuck at school working with minimal tools. Anyone have any ideas?
