Hey Guys....I just bought my Clipse a lil over a month ago and after this weekend I am going to be ready to start buying some parts for it. I have decided that the first three things I am going to get are new headers, CAI and cat-back exhaust. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me as to which brands to go with and where I can find the parts the cheapest. THANKS!

PS....If there are any girls out there pahlease hit me up....sometimes it gets lonely being the only girl at a car show!

Welcome to the wonderful world of dizms. I dont live by you but I am a chick..And hey we both got the n/a thing goin on. Its all good tho b/c we're girls so they have to be nice:thumb:

welcome to the world of DSM. anyway, use the tuning guide to help you
http://www.dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/2gnt/
but these are my n/t reccomendations:
1)AEM Cold air intake (cant argue with AEM intake quality)
2)Cat-Back, i really like my Greddy Evo, but cant go wrong with Apexi or Thermal either. it kinda comes down to what style you like more.
3)Greddy 4-1 Header (Greddy is a great company)
But you have the right idea, these are just tips.
but as far as non-turbo's go, that is the basics, intake/header/exhaust. after that it is all up to you, and how far you want to take it. Go to the non-turbo performance, it will help you more. welcome and good luck!

Thanks for posting. I love how you are "the pimpstress" What mods have you done to your car?

I dunno if I am going to go for show or if I am going for speed....might do a little bit of both...

the MOST important thing about starting to mod is making sure the car is in TOP condition. flush all fluids and replace, new plugs/wires, timing belt, pump etc... [ if 60k,120k has not been done yet ]

welcome to the board :thumb:

Thank you very much. I wanted to go with an Injen intake but most have told me that the AEM is a lil bit better and a lil cheaper.

Preciate all the info.... I looked at the tuning guide but its nice to know if actual people have used the product and what they think about it.

Well, i was an avid HONDA guy before i got my DSM. *let the flaming begin* anyway, AEM is a great intake company. i would much rather have AEM than injen. and everything else, pretty much anything brand name will be fine, and which company to go with is going to be up to you: Apexi, HKS, Greddy, Thermal. people will argue differences, and what is better, but truth be known, they are all about the same. not much a noticable difference. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Okay next question....right now I have 15" inch rims on my car, I didnt pay for them....they came with the car ..... should I upgrade to 16's....ill try to post a pic of the car so you can see it....

i would go with 18's. from what you are saying, it sounds like 18's will fit you perfect.

Raligh road are alittel rough if you are not careful you can easly bend 18's so if your not acoustom to driving a car with big wheel you might want to stop a 17's

my $.02 is to go for show. No offense but making that car fast will be pretty expensive, and once you get it fast it is gonna break more and get greasy and crap. If you want to do one or the other the N/T models are great for show!

i agree with this quoet:

my advice is to make it run great first. Then do one mod at a time. if anything goes wrong you know what was done last and to me it is easier to troubleshoot. if you do a few things at once then it gets harder to figure out whats causing the problem.

just my ¢.02

Thanks for the advice guys. I have been steadily fixing issues on it since 2 days after I bought it (main oil seal needed to be replaced)

I knew I was going for show as soon as I bought it but it still needs to be faster than what it is now....even tho I can pull on most in my area.

I was never one to be into the flashy things so 17's are not for me....but 16's could be do-able.

I still have to drive the thing every damn day....and I am not driving around on some 19's in the state of NC.....that is craziness....espically the way i fly over speed bumps....
