It's that time of the year 7th annual STINSON BEACH MEET!!!

I"m still up for it but it sounds like no one else is. I guess me and my buddies will just go cruise down to Santa Cruz and hit up the old ice cream shop.

My 2Gb DSM went down 3 days ago... alternator failure AGAIN. This will be #4 this year (rebuilt from Pepboys).

Thanks for trying to organize it! I'm up for anytime! Just came back from some crazy Stoneridge meet with the Evo.

I feel yah on both issues man. -I'm still down but I'd rather avoid SF with all of the events that are going on this weekend. :(

As for the alternator issues, I finally just gave up and went with a Saturn alternator as I've coocked about 5 different alternators since I've owned the car (purchased 4/97). EVERY TIME it was the voltage regulators that failed. I've managed to extend the failure rate by investing in a Jay Racing's alternator relocation kit but even then they'd only last about 8-9 months.
Many have tried Saturn alternators with good results... So far, I'm one of them :thumb:

Margaritaville is a restraunt in Sausalito owned by Jimmy Buffett.

Um, no not exactly... Well, actually not even close... Try again sparky!

I was referring to the Margaritaville in Capitola, FAR down (South) HWY 1 ...It's not a single restaurant but more like a strip of them right on the beach full of different places to eat/drink... it kinda has a BoardWalk mentality but with a great night life with (usually) PLENTY of women there too :sneaky: -It does get quite pricey though... Especially if you end up drinking a lot & end up renting a little private pagoda for the evening :sneaky::rocks::sneaky::shhh: -DEFINATELY a good time though :thumb:

this is only my second one. that i am able to go too i really hope people have a change of heart.

Eben I know what your talking about. My ex lady's friend has like two apartment in the area right next to the bars. I spend the night there and it was cool. Too bad I'm not 21, have fun guys. 6 more months!!! (Jan 26)

What was so crazy about it? Stoneridge? In san jose?

Pleasanton Stoneridge Mall.

Just had tons of cars (150+) with all different types of vehicles. The V8s (Firebirds/Mustangs) ruined it a bit by revving and being stupid, so the cops came.

They had a little bit of everything and it was a cool group for the most part.

If anyone is up for a mini-meet, me and some Evo guys hang out at Kohl's (in Pleasant Hill) on Thursday nights. I saw 2 starions drop by once. The guys are all chill and some used to own DSMs. Not a big meet though.

Its funny cus people judge us because we drive imports and they are known to think that it is us that rev and do burnouts and act like dumbasses. While on every meet down here, it is the muscle guys doing that bull shit.

^^^ SERIOUSLY... Plus it's a lot easier for them to do with there stock one-leggers

Last time I was out at the local drags (illegal), some kid showed up in Daddy's BMer and ended up doing a solo run down 'the strip'... ... Once at the end, he decided to start doing donuts... After about 5-6 revolutions, he ended up jumping up over the curb and sideswiped a fire hydrant, knocking it off! -The result was a 20' geyser that might has well been aimed up his a$$ as I bet Daddy was PISSED :tease: :nono:

-It only takes one idiot to F it up for the rest of us :toobad:

This is a final count, and I need to know if we are still on this weekend? Well what can I do. I just organized and seem like the DSM spirit are now down. Who knows or maybe just a bad timing? Anyway Majority wins. If we have to cancell this one and better luck next time. At least thank me for trying to organize this meet. Anyway we'll see tomorrow night at the deadline. Hey Eben the car is great it's better than ever and I think my MPG is better, I can now get 28 mpg highway and 23 mpg City driving because of my setup cool and it's noticeable. Thanks hopefully we can get a decent meet or maybe a Mt. Hamilton run this August. Talk to u later.

Sorry but I think I remember posting this thursday for the final count Friday night, looks like majority won that the event is cancell. Let's better luck next time. Thanks for the effort.
