Buying a trasmisson from guy on here for 280 plus shipping, Cause my transmisson is bad. An then I was going to get a stage 2 clutch and after market flywheel before putting in the transmisson because I want to eventually get 400hp. An then I was looking to buy a apexi 3" full exhaust system with the down pipe. An later on get fmic and bov. I dont have a exhaust atm so need that asap. Sound like a solid start?? An if so what should I add after all that to meet my goal. Or if it doesnt sound good what should I change. Thanks

An if any1 has a clutch or flywheel f/s pm me.

Right now all I know of being on car is that it is running 20 psi and has boost guage, Rebuilt motor with bigger cams and thats basically all I know. How do I check on if it has a after market fuel pump or bigger injectors cause its running on some high psi and idk if its got stock injectors or not

That all sounds great if you can get the cash. As for finding out about the motor, i recommend trying to locate the owner who did the mods originally and ask him. People can usually tell you who they bought the car from and then just look them up on facebook.

I used to have a 5.0 mustang which had been all hotrodded and i didn't know what all had been done so i asked the guy i bought it from who he bought it from. Then i found that guy on facebook and he told me about everything i needed to know about the car. it doesn't always work but when it does it simplifies things a lot.

Also i recommend an exedy clutch. i have an exedy stage 2 in my car and i abused the hell out of it and when i pulled the motor the clutch still looked like new.

welcome to the site but for starts if you are running 20 PSI its surely not a stock fuel pump. do you have a FPR or not? because usually if its a wally 255 or higher you have a FPR, what are you using to tune with? running 20psi sounds great for a streetable car. to be completly honest what that guy above said about the whole go on facebook and hunt him down will probly get you nowhere, but when you go to pull the motor apart and see what needs replacing or whatever you are putting in as far as aftermarket you will know then what will need to be fixed or replaced. a more experienced member might chime in here. the questions you are asking are covered in the tech section under upgrade paths check it out it hasnt done me wrong between that and just using the search option any question you can think of has probly been answered.

Ok thanks for the respones, I actually got refered to a place locally here by a guy off this website and the mechanic is well experienced in eclipses and said he would tell me what all I got in car and what all needs to be fixed and will do all the building for me. Pretty happy about it. Got 2200 to spend atm cant wait till taxes

Pull the injectors out and look up the serial number on them, unless they have more obvious markings on them. As for the pump, is it loud? That's usually a good indicator of an aftermarket pump. Pulling the pump and looking at it is the best way to find out though. I have a feeling you might have some upgraded fuel parts...otherwise the kid that you bought the car from is retarded for trying to run 20psi on a stock pump and injectors without an AFPR. Does the car have any tuning device, such as DSM Link or an SAFC?

did the person mention that the car has dsm link? to run 20psi u kinda need somthing to tune ## air flow , maybe like a gm maf? or afc neo, also make sure u dont buy alot of ebay shit, try and stick with this site, make sure u check buyer and seller ratings, also u really wanna make sure, u save alot of money, if your trying to build,,,,,,, it never stops

First and foremost, before you mod your car, do your basic maintenance.

Secondly, dont spend every penny you have on the car. Its only a car, an older one at that, and you wont get back what you put in. Set a budget and stick to it.

Third, it looks like a good start but what the hell is a stage 2 clutch? You need to define, at minimum, a brand or a stage 2 clutch means nothing to anyone here.
