I have been hearing alot about the evo 16g, i have a 95 gst with a Big 16G in it. Is the EVO 16g that much better. If anyone knows what the difference is, or have experienced both turbos. please let me know thank you.

There is some significant differences between the two, and yes the EVO 16G is better. It is more efficient, and flows more air. Look at http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclturbos.htm for some comparison info. It will spool slightly slower than your B16G, but will still cause you traction issues with your GST. Some guys like a bigger turbo on a FWD so they can hook up faster.

If you already have a Big 16G it's not worth the upgread, however if your just about to buy one of the two, go with the Evo 16g...

Just make sure to have the flapper ported correct and a good exhaust or your going to get crazy boost creep.

It's a great turbo and you will probably spend a few grand on you'r car b4 you even max it outie. intake manifold , big front mount intercooler, fuel , etc.

But keep in mind once all these things and more have been done you will probably run in the twelves ,(driver factor need be included).

BUT trust me as soon as you get close and things start to slow back down you will want more so if you havent bought it yet (or maybe you just bought the reg. 16g?) do you'r future self a favour and buy a big 20 g (uncliped for better spool) .

other way around... It will spool slightly faster then the big16g

you all always talk about the Evo creeping, I'm about to get my car back together(6Bolt Swap) and I purchased the Evo 16G and the Evo exhaust manifold for my eclipse I also have Apexi N1 from the turbo back with no cat.

Is there anything that I really need to do to stop the worry of the creep. Or should I be fine.

I'm also running a Profec B

Thankx

If you were to choose between a Big 16G and an Evo3 16G, it's a no braininer. better exhaust housing composition, the exhaust housing is lighter, compressor wheel is ligher as well and it's slightly larger...
