I am going to get an evo exh man.Had one on my last car but sold it.
Is it worth it to pay extra to port one of these up?

Porting is certainly worth it. If you can't do it yourself and the cost of having it done is high enough, then you could just get the SBR cast manifold. Similar design, but unported its larger than a ported Evo III.

On the low end, if you are looking to get it ported for a 7cm size gasket, you can get the GT manifold that turbochargers.com sells. I believe they have a special going on for $145 shipped. It comes with hardware and is ported for a 7cm gasket. On the high end, the SBR manifold would be the best choice.

Has anyone put a GT mani next to a SBR to see if the SBR is actually any better?

Turbochargers made the GT like SBR made theirs, both casted. How big can you make them, the ports on the head are only so big?

They both fit a 7cm gasket.
