Hi, I've been searching for a while and i've come to the conclusion that a 245/45/17 (wish they made nittos 555r's in a 40 side wall for extra clearance) will fit with out rubbing on the front control arm with a 38mm offset. This should also make the tire flush (not sticking out at all) from the edge of the fender. For reference I used this: (offset /25.4) + 0.5 + ( Tire width in mm/25.4) / 2 = “Check Spacing” The check spacing limit seems to be below 6.99 (meaning it wont rub on the control arm if its under this number) I got the info from: http://www.martincheck.com/wheel_tire_fitment_FAQ.html
which was very helpful. With the setup I want to use I would get a Check spacing of: 6.81 (yes its close!) I just wanted to verify that in real life this would be correct. So, is anyone running 245/45/17 17x8in rim w/ 38mm offset on a 2G FWD (or AWD)? If so, did you have to roll the fenders, does it stick out from the fender, etc... Thanks in advance, Zach :dsm:

I high doubt its going to fit.

9.65" wide x 25.68 tall
17x8 38mm

You asking for trouble

Maybe a 235 on a 17x8 with a 32-38mm offset

I'm with Diablo. The tire will be very close to your rear knuckle. Depending on the brand of tires you might get away with it though. Fender rolling would be necessary.
