Continuing from my last post, I pulled the intermediate shaft (driveshaft). See pictures.
It looks like the bearing bracket needs to move closer to the TJ case, but then it won't bolt back on the car. Although the trans has been out, it looks like it is in correct. Car drives great - it pulls a bit to the left but I don't think this is causing that.
There is no slop anywhere in the assembly that I can find.
So my options as I see them:
1) Shut up and ignore this
2) Look for slop outboard of the bearing bracket
3) Take another good look at the trans and make sure it really is aligned right
Anyone have any suggestions? Appreciate your help.
