My Intake pipe came with a replacement tube for the extra air that gets re-routed (somewhere) but the pipe does not have a hole in it like the stock intake tube did, can i just plug up the other hole where the air would have gone to?? does this make sense to anybody thanks

2G 2.0 L GS is the car

Okay let me get this correct. You have an aftermarket intake pipe (not manifld) and it is misssing a hole for a port tube that it came with.

You need to drill a hole in the intake pipe for that line. And get a nipple for that size hose.

Ok I see I was gonna just remove the short hose(the one attatched to the motor already and just buy a plug for that I didn't realize that air has to get through there also. I had a 94 mirage a few years back and i did that same procedure and never had any problems.. thanks for the info

Are you talking about the oil breather line? If its that either get an oil catch can or oil breather filter.

I think thats what it its the oil breather line. On the stock 420a non turbo motor the intake pipe itself has a tube that takes some ot the air and goes into some part of the the oil crankcase i believe its a short tube(from intak pipe to i guess the oil breather thing) i was wanting to just plug it up but i guess i can get a breather filter for it.

You'll need a breather filter on the valve cover for the PCV system to function correctly. As long as this is there, it is OK not to have that line attached to your intake.
