are the intake and the exhaust cam exactly the same on the turbo motor. i took the ge4ars off when i took the motor out and i frogot to mark them. so i need to know if they are the same.

Nope, they are not the same. The easiest way to tell which cam is intake/exhaust is by looking at the non cam gear side. The intake cam is slotted to fix the cam angle sensor (CAS) on a 1g. I couldn't find a good picture of this, but hopefully this makes sense.

actually i was asking abou the cam gears ment to put that in here. i know the cams are diffrent

Intake and exhaust cam gears are the same according to CAPS for a 1g. They are the same part number.

thank you, had the same problem, feel kinda stupid for not thinking of that myself

yep exactly the same. If you look, there are 2 knotches on each cam gear. 1 at 3 oclock and one at 9 oclock
