Hey guys, I got my new setup together. Put in a 6 bolt block and used the kiggly adapter without any issues. We also installed a shift kit and an end clutch kit. Everything seemed to go together ok, but these were both first attempts for my friend and I. I have a chipped TCU that worked fine in my 98 so I don't think that is the issue. The car won't shift, and I think it's in first as it's a very short gear, definitely not limp mode. P, R, and N work fine. Any ideas what i should check? I'm a bit lost with this problem and haven't found much online that is similar. Any help is much appreciated!

Thought of one other thing that may be related:

We are getting an intermittent "A/T Temp" light on the dash. It only flashes every once in awhile, and I can verify on my trans temp gauge that the trans is not hot whatsoever, in fact I've seen the light come on seconds after we started the car cold, so I know it's a false positive, I'm just not sure if that is a red herring or something that might be connected to our larger issue.

Dirt/debris in the valvebody.

It's very important it's all extremely clean. I would go through it again and make sure it's all very clean and assembled properly.

I've had this happen to two cars both times it was a valve body problem. In one it was just that the valve body needed cleaning, but in the other the pressure relief valve had damaged its seat and was allowing all pressure to bleed off. To fix it I needed to replace the center plate that the valve seated itself against.

This is in a 2g? I'm sure it is because you say that the tcu from your 98 works fine but I just wanted to make sure you weren't putting an eprom chip from your 2g into your 94.
